The warranty, in plain words.
"Lifetime" means nothing until it says whose lifetime and what it covers. Here is ours, written so you can hold us to it. Terms in this demo are placeholders the owner sets.
Whose lifetime
Yours, for as long as you own the home (demo wording). The owner states whether it transfers once to the next buyer and how.
What the manufacturer covers
The frame, the sash, the hardware and the sealed glass against defects in materials and workmanship, under the manufacturer's own written warranty. Your quote names the product line so you can read that warranty before you sign.
What we cover
Our installation: water getting in around the frame, sashes and doors that bind or will not lock, and adjustments in the first year. The period is stated in your contract (owner sets the term).
What is not covered
Glass broken by impact after the walkthrough, storm or settlement damage, paint and trim we did not install, and changes made by someone else.
How to make a claim
Text or call (206) 555-0137 with a photo. We book a visit, check it, and deal with the manufacturer for you when it is theirs to cover.
