Foggy glass replacement
When the frame is sound and only the sealed glass has failed, we replace just the glass.

Simulated fog for this demo. Real before photos replace it.
Fog between the panes means the seal on the insulated glass has failed. If the frame and sash are still in good shape, replacing only the glass is a fair, cheaper fix. If the frame is failing too, we say so and show you both prices side by side.
Signs it is time
- A milky haze or droplets between the two panes
- A white residue that comes back after it dries
- A pane that looks distorted at certain angles
- Only one or two windows affected while the rest are fine
How it goes
- We measure the glass and check the frame, sash and seals
- New sealed units are built to size with a Low-E coating
- Most glass swaps take under an hour per window
- We check the warranty first: some failed units are still covered by the maker
What moves the price
- Glass size and type
- Tempered glass where code requires it
- How the glass is held in
- Number of units done on one visit
Starting prices for common jobs are on the packages list. Your written quote is the number that counts.
Questions
Is glass-only worth it?
If the frames are in good shape and only a few panes are foggy, often yes. If most of the house is fogging and the frames are failing, new windows are the better spend. We show you both.
